About
Us
For
us it is about the dogs.
Atlantic Maltese Rescue,
Inc. is
a group of volunteers along the East Coast from New England to
Georgia.
Our
volunteers provide foster homes while working to find forever homes for abandoned, neglected,
impounded, or unwanted purebred Maltese dogs. We do not have a
shelter; our rescued dogs are fostered in our homes and the homes of
those who volunteer as foster parents. Many
of our volunteers are foster parents, many volunteers help in other capacities. If you are interested in finding out
about how you can help AMR please visit our Volunteer
& Donation page of this site. Our
volunteers work to ensure that we
find the very best forever home for the dogs in our care. We take a
number of steps to match the right dog with the right people. These
steps are described on the Adoption
Process page of our website, included among them are
pre-adoption home visits and continued follow-up support for our
adoptive families.
***If
you know of a dog that is in need of rescue, please look below at
our contact list and call or email the representative closest to you.***

generosity.
We rely on the
